Subject: Welcome Message & Rules Sun 19 Sep - 12:12:14
Welcome everyone to Survivor Quarantine Season 2!
You are about to embark on a journey that will last approximately 2.5 weeks so you better buckle up and get comfortable.
Before we get to the fun stuff, let's get to some rules first, shall we? You might get quizzed on these rules, so I would strongly suggest to read & understand fully.
First of all, let me introduce our hosting panel this season.
Theo James (Host): on Twitter @ChangeThisPlz Morty (Host): on Twitter @J_Taubenslag
Myself (@gallymeroreboot) & the 2 mentioned above are the ONLY people you can talk to about this game. Your identity must remain a secret for this game to work well. Friendships ended in other seasons over pre gaming. It ruins the whole point of this series. The point of this series is to give fans the closest possible experience to the real thing in the ORG world & to give everyone a fair shot by not having pre game alliances & cliques. Those of us who have played Twitter games know that one of the big hurdles is having to face multiple cliques that join together & friends not wanting to vote each other out so you become a casualty of just not knowing people before the game. It's not necessarily for you to hide behind a fake name to be mean to others, but it's also fine by me if you take on a villainous role for entertainment purposes, just stay humble & don't cross lines.
Be careful about talking about this game in group chats & whatnot. You would be shocked how many people slide into my DMs to rat on you guys. Also be careful how you talk to people. Try to not give out too many personal details about yourself. Some will use it to try and figure out who you are. Some might know you well & figure you out from the info you give them about yourself. I'm not asking you all to pretend to be your character, but also try to pretend you're not you when on here.
Rules:
The following set of rules is to ensure that everyone has a pleasant time here in quarantine and to keep the integrity of the mystery alive.
Rule 1: Have fun! There will still be a cash prize this season but we are here to have fun first & foremost.
Rule 2: Know the lines not to cross when in an argument. We all love drama but we will not accept bullying, intimidating, or over-the-top terrorism. This also applies to more than just arguments. This is Survivor, not The Bachelor. It is a game, and while you can use whatever form of strategy you want (provided it fits the rules), you can't cross lines. If someone approaches me about your behaviour, I will have to take actions and I will not be happy. Even if I am personally not bothered by your words, if someone else is & they come to me, I will have to ask you to stop. I will also not accept anyone using disabilities as a game strategy. I will also not tolerate anyone making fun of any disability (We had a situation in the Big Brother version of this game, this is why I have to mention all this.)
Rule 3: it is FORBIDDEN to speak about your participation in this game with anyone until the reveal party at the end of the season. If I am shown concrete proof that you told someone else that you were in this game, or that you revealed your Twitter identity to someone in the game, you will receive a punishment that will put you at a disadvantage in this game. If you are caught doing it again after your punishment, you will be EXPELLED. Additionally, you are not to discuss others’ identities even if you think you’ve guessed who someone is. Keep that speculation for your Confessional. Please make an effort to hide your identity as well.
Rule 4: There will be no talking outside of the forum. For example, no Google Documents to type to one another, no giving one another phone numbers, and no linking to other sites to talk. If you need to talk or want to work together on something, keep a tab open with your private rooms, or keep an eye on your DMs. Again, if I am given concrete proof that this is happening, you will receive a punishment.
Rule 5: We will do our best to get everything done in a fun, polite & timely manner, but we're human and delays could happen. We ask that you address us with respect & we'll do the same.
Rule 6: If you quit, you risk being BANNED from the series. It messes with the game too much. I understand emergencies, so I will go at this case by case.
Rule 7: We are not your parents or boss. We expect you to follow the rules & we will react accordingly if you break it, but I'm not here to be a dictator or keep you from having a life. If you need a schedule change, let us know in advance & we will do our best to accommodate. If you hangout with other Twitter mutual in real life & fear one of them could be playing this game, just give me a heads up so I can try to schedule time off or a more relaxed schedule. I cannot tell you what to do, I can just try and minimize the chances of you having to be on the forum much during that time.
BEING ACTIVE IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you are not active for 48 hours (meaning that you did not even log on the forum for 48 hours) you will be removed from the game unless you have advised me you will be away.
Furthermore, if you fail to vote 3 times, you will be removed from the game. Voting is important and you are given ample time to submit your vote. Failure to vote will also result in you getting a vote against yourself at the Tribal Council you fail to vote at.
These rules are not extreme so I hope you can all adhere.
Private Room Requests
Private rooms are like alliance group chats on Twitter. This season we want to make the experience even more like Survivor, which means you will have no DM access until merge. We want to eliminate cross tribe talk as much as possible. Theo went ahead & created private rooms based on tribes so you would have a way to have one on one talks with everyone on your tribe from the start. You can still request more private rooms, they just have to be rooms with people on your current tribe.
To do so, create a thread in your Confessional titled "Private Room Requests"
1- I NEED a name for any room your request 2- I NEED only one of you to request the room 3- I NEED all requests done in your Confessional. Once we make it, we will like the post
If you fail to give me a room name, I’ll name it something funky
NO SCREENSHOTS ALLOWED
You can copy/paste stuff but you can't full on-send people screenshots

Congratulations on getting to play! This is my first game hosting and I'm very excited! There's a ton of potential for a wild game of Survivor ahead of us and I can't wait to see how it plays out! I'm often available through twitter and will be attentive to the forum as well! If Theo or Kim are unavailable, or just in general, I'll try to be as free as possible to answer everyone's questions and fulfill their requests in a timely manner! Again, I'm very excited, I hope you guys are and good luck!!

The private rooms that have been pre made can only be seen by the people in them & the hosts. Feel free to post in there without worrying that others not mentioned can see, they can't. Viewers can't see either, only those mentioned in the room name.
Hello everyone! Sorry I’m not as punctual as these two over here <3 Just thought I’d wish everyone the best of luck this season. I can tell this is going to be a great season! Looking forward to the tears and cheers that come along with the game! Feel free to reach out to any of us should an issue arise or you have a question. We will do our best to accommodate your needs in a timely manner; all that we ask is for your patience. Other than that, I don’t have anything else to say except may the best person win!
